Usage Guide

FreeAdvance reservation not required

Reservation is not required to be made in advance to use the private bath. The baths may be used whenever they are vacant.
Please feel free to enter when there is no guest footwear at the entrance platform of private bath entrance.
You are kindly requested to use the private bath after locking the key on the inside. There is no time limit, but do not stay inside too long in order to avoid dizziness due to overheating.
*All private baths are equipped with shower.

*However, due to cleaning intervals, entrance may temporarily be hindered.

*The purpose of private bath is immersion in spring water, therefore the selection of available amenities is minimalized.

Two outdoor baths comprising of the cedar bath overflowing with rustic charm and the natural rock bath, as well as the Toji-no-yu, a characteristic indoor bath with gem and pebble flooring.

From 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM the bath is available for ladies, and from 11:00 PM to 11:00 AM the bath is available for gentlemen.

Rooms at the Nanraku are No-no-hanatei, designed in sukiya-zukuri traditional architectural style, and Shimogamo-tei, rooms with an adjacent outdoor tub, that are composed with tailor-made specifics, such as the irori, the traditional fireplace. Slowly unwind in the spacious room with a broad veranda, offering superb views of Aono River flowing right in front of your eyes.
